Cody Rhodes Or Gunther? Who Will the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble Winner Face at WrestleMania 41?

WWE

Jey Uso shocked the world as he won the 2025 Royal Rumble after last eliminating John Cena in what was the legend's last-ever Royal Rumble appearance. This decision was very controversial, as many fans are excited for what's to come next, though others have expressed their disinterest in seeing Uso challenge for a title at WWE WrestleMania 41. Now that the decision has happened and is irreversible, the common belief is that Jey will challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship. However, could the Royal Rumble winner have other plans in mind?

Given his recent feud with Gunther, it can be speculated that they will likely be facing off against each other at WrestleMania 41. Their most recent match together was on January 25th at Saturday Night’s Main Event in San Antonio, where Gunther was successfully able to retain his World Heavyweight Championship. Gunther is considered WWE’s best in-ring worker and has a wrestle-first mindset, which is why a WrestleMania rivalry with an entertainer such as Jey Uso could end up being very intriguing. If this were to happen, Jey would likely get his moment at the grandest stage of them all, and it seems to be the direction the company is headed.

Gunther is not his only option though, as Jey could challenge his good friend and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. This would result in a much more personal feud as the two have developed a close relationship over the past few years. Their storyline could revolve around Jey Uso needing to bring the Undisputed WWE Championship back to The Bloodline, the same title that Rhodes took away from his family. Now that Jey is re-aligned with Roman Reigns, he will likely be open to bringing the title home, no matter what it takes. It would certainly result in their friendship ending if it were to happen, as the two would likely enter a blood-thirsty feud that would have fans conflicted on who to root for.

Whoever Jey Uso decides to challenge at WrestleMania, it will certainly result in an exciting and personal story. He has already been feuding with Gunther, which is why that seems like the obvious choice. However, a rivalry with the WWE’s top babyface Cody Rhodes could be one of the most historic in company history, as Jey will have to choose family over friendship. It will be interesting to see if Jey Uso can finally win the big one at WrestleMania 41 and get his crowning moment.
