Golf 2025 Player Prediction: Max Homa
The men’s 2024 professional golf season delivered a thrilling mix of dominating and stunning victories, heart-wrenching defeats, and career-defining moments. Players battled through highs and lows, leaving fans captivated by the drama on the course. With the 2025 season now up and running, questions remain. Who will rise to the occasion? Whose game will start to decline? Who’ll feel the joy of victory and the agony of defeat? Who will surprise us all? Who will win the 2025 Majors? Here is the 2025 player prediction for Max Homa.
Official World Golf Ranking: 48th
Wins: Zero
Major Wins: Zero
2024 Summary
Fan favorite and golf Twitter king, Max Homa, had a less-than-stellar 2024 season, to say the least. He just never seemed to find his stride and the consistent ball-striking he’s become known for. In the 22 events he played in 2024, he had zero wins, zero runner-ups, three top 10s, eight top 25s, and missed the cut four times. His best finish came at the Masters where he finished tied for third. In the other Major events he finished tied for 35th at the PGA Championship, missed the cut at the U.S. Open, and tied for 43rd at the Open Championship. He did have some bright moments, especially at the President’s Cup as a Captain’s Pick, where his elite ball-striking was on full display. Homa finished the 2024 season ranked 113th in strokes gained total, 11th in strokes gained tee to green, 86th in approach play, 39th in strokes gained around the green, and 106th in strokes gained putting. He is currently the 48th-ranked player on the official world golf rankings.
2025 Prediction
Homa has played two events so far in 2025. He played the Sentry in Hawaii, finishing tied for 26th, and the Farmers Insurance Open, where he withdrew 15 holes into his second round. He shot five over par in the first round and was already four over in his second round, which had him at nine over for the tournament before his withdrawal. He wasn’t the only player to withdraw from the tournament, especially after heavy winds at Torrey Pines caused a weather delay and produced high scores across the board. Notably, Homa has started the 2025 season without his long-time caddie and friend, Joe Greiner, who has been absent for an undisclosed reason. He’s had two different caddies fill in in the meantime. If the 34-year-old California native wants to get back into the winner’s circle, he has to find that consistent ball-striking and joy fans have become accustomed to from him. My prediction for Max Homa’s 2025 is zero to one win, will contend at one Major at least, likely the Masters again, will make the U.S. Ryder Cup team as a Captain’s Pick, and finish as a top 30 player on the official world golf rankings.
