How Can the Seahawks Offensive Line Improve Moving Forward?
The Seattle Seahawks' offensive line has been somewhat of a rocky place for the most part. Even though it has had its ups and downs from the pre-season to the regular season's wins, losses, and very close calls as well. It is now time to take a look at some possible ideas to help it improve, especially now with the extra few days, thanks to the bye week on the schedule. These bye weeks do not come too consistently on any team’s schedule, but that does not mean that when they arise. Seattle is not unwilling to try their hand at using this extra time to their advantage at all.
A few ways that they could do this would be to build consistency and chemistry across the team as a whole. Letting in a sense of trust between each member of the offensive line. They also need to be able to strengthen the interior all around, with quicker members being able to zone block better than others. Opportunities to be able to protect their quarterbacks in Sam Darnold and Jalen Milroe, specifically. Being able to attack rather than just react to what the opposing team is throwing at them, trying to get the upper hand before it’s too late. Just overall trying to iron out as many of the kinks and other problems that the team is facing at this current time, like aiming for fewer sacks overall as well.
The team has nine days left to get it together before they face off against the Commanders in Washington this season. If they have the chance to be able to find some sort of stability. While also committing to a formula that can balance the game well enough to keep the team’s energy flowing well. There needs to be a strong enough foundation to build up from, and not crumble under when Seattle least expects it. Whether or not this will only stick for this one game in week nine, or maybe if it could even carry over for the rest of the season, is a completely different story altogether. We will just have to see what happens on the field, for sure.
