How Will the Philadelphia Eagles Offseason Look Like in 2025?
The Philadelphia Eagles will have an exciting off-season coming up, especially after they won the Super Bowl by beating the Kansas City Chiefs. This offseason, they will be looking to re-sign some players and add young talent. In the offseason it is quite interesting as it could refresh the squad again as they are looking to repeat the Super Bowl win that they had this past season. They will be also looking to draft some marquee players for the future as well in the 2025 draft. Also, Philadelphia will have to try to reconstruct its cap space in the NFL Offseason, making it quite interesting as Philadelphia will look to add more players to its great roster.
Milton Williams
The Philadelphia Eagles will try to re-sign Milton Williams this offseason as he was a great defensive player for them in the 2024 season, especially since he made a big play in the Super Bowl after getting a sack strip fumble on Patrick Mahomes. He helped lead the Eagles’ defense to be the number-one defense in the league. Especially with him and Jalen Carter, they made a fantastic duo and the defensive line Williams' pressure is a big factor in him getting re-signed to the Philadelphia Eagles defensive line. The 25-year-old getting sacks was a big factor as well as he had the most on the Eagles defensive line. However, if the price is right, Philadelphia will try to re-sign him as soon as they can because he’s going to be a very important player for them in the offseason. Philadelphia doesn’t want to lose a generational talent like Williams who could potentially help them win many Super Bowls in the near future.
Josh Sweat
Another important piece to the Eagles’ defensive line is Josh Sweat. He had two and a half sacks in the Super Bowl helping them pull off a big win in the Super Bowl against the Chiefs putting up a lot of pressure. Sweat is a young asset to the Philadelphia Eagles organization and has been a very important player for them. As the 27-year-old showed it during the Super Bowl. He was a great player all throughout the regular season and he also has been to the Pro Bowl game back in 2021, adding a very important piece to the Eagles’ defensive line. If the price is right, the Eagles will absolutely look to try to re-sign him. Sweat with Nolan Smith has been a great duo, getting sacks, and pressures, plus winning important football games as well.
Zack Baun
The Eagles will look to re-sign Zack Baun as the team has been looking to sign a solid linebacker throughout the 2024 season but when they found Baun, he turned out to be a great signing, especially since he had an amazing season becoming an All-Pro player in his first season in Philadelphia. He has been great throughout the whole season, especially as the Eagles have a weakness on the defensive side. Yet, now he has helped them to become Super Bowl champions. The 28-year-old has been also a great duo with Nakobe Dean who is also a fantastic linebacker that they drafted in the 2022 draft. Baun showed his skills in the Super Bowl, especially when getting an interception on Mahomes, which became a very big interception for the Eagles in the game holding up their massive lead heading into halftime.
