Rogers’ ability to keep runs off the board and limit baserunners has been invaluable for a team dealing with injuries to key starters like Zach Eflin.
Rogers’ resurgence couldn’t have come at a better time for Baltimore, both in the context of their 2025 playoff push and their long-term planning. The Orioles are aiming to recover from a dreadful start before it’s too late, with the trade deadline looming in a few weeks. With Rogers under team control through the 2026 season, his improved command and poise on the mound have likely shifted the organization’s outlook on his role.
