Arman Tsurakyan is coming off a huge win against Dan Hooker at UFC Fight Night, which took place on November 22nd. Arman has solidified himself as one of the elite fighters in the Lightweight Division, and he put this on full display in this fight. After spending some time away from the octagon, there were some concerns about how he would perform in his first fight back. The 29-year-old Armenian silenced these doubters quickly with a statement Round Two finish.

Tsurakyan had been on an absolute tear in the Lightweight Division, only mounting three losses in his career. He eventually found himself looking at a title shot against Islam Makhachev, until he suffered an injury to his back. He was forced to take time to recover, which ultimately turned into a longer period of making his way back. Dan Hooker posed as a good opponent to take on for his first fight back, as Hooker is still very talented, but in the later part of his career at 35 years old. Arman remained focused and showed why he still should be feared in the Lightweight Division. He looked just the same as he did before the injury, with intricate striking and great cardio. Arman was able to close in on Hooker and found himself a round two submission victory. Given this victory, Tsurakyan is right back on track for a title. He has proven that even with time away from fighting, he can remain an elite contender. The Lightweight Division is incredibly talented, with Arman close to the top for those who can take it over. Ilia Topuria is the current champion, and Arman Tsurakyan could match up to be a great opponent to try and dethrone the champ.

The 29-year-old Armenian has entered the octagon again with more momentum than he did the first time. The hype is all in his corner, as many are excited to see if he can be the one to take over the division. Arman should continue to sharpen his skills and keep his cardio up, as his opponents will only get more difficult. Arman Tsurakyan has made a serious name for himself and has an exciting future ahead of him.
