Who Will Face Randy Orton at WrestleMania?
As WrestleMania 41 approaches in Las Vegas, fans are eager to find out who will face Randy Orton. For the past six months, Orton has been locked in a fierce rivalry with Kevin Owens, after he hit Orton with a piledriver that kept him on the sidelines for four months. Orton made his return at Elimination Chamber in Toronto, and fans were excited about the possibility of a match at WrestleMania. Especially with Orton hinting at delivering his patented Punt Kick to Owens in recent weeks.
Unfortunately, Kevin Owens announced last week that he would be undergoing neck surgery, leaving Orton without a WrestleMania opponent. This sudden change has left fans speculating about who could step in. Many started looking at SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis, mostly because Orton hit him with two RKOs, one from a year and a half ago and the other just last week. That could really fuel the idea that Aldis might make his WWE in-ring debut against the Apex Predator.
During the segment with Orton and Aldis discussing Orton’s Mania plans, they were interrupted by Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga. This led to an action-packed main event on SmackDown, where Orton teamed up with United States Champion L.A. Knight, who is set to face the Samoan Werewolf, Jacob Fatu at Mania for his championship. Orton and Sikoa left the match battling all the way to the back through the crowd. Leaving Knight to pick up the win over Tonga.
As WrestleMania draws near, the excitement continues to build. Will Nick Aldis step into the ring to challenge Orton, or will Solo Sikoa find his way into the Apex Predator's sight? Fans have been waiting to see Aldis and Orton for nearly two years now, and it will be a sight to behold for Aldis to finally get physical in WWE. Interest has also been sparked in potential challengers like Karrion Kross as he is slowly starting to become a fan favorite. Maybe even the returning Aleister Black, or Rusev. Fans have thrown interest in Jeff Hardy being a possibility due to the TNA partnership in play. WrestleMania is less than a week away and this will be Randy Orton’s 20th Mania of his career. He is desperately trying to get there and he deserves a worthy opponent at Vegas.
