Bayley Becomes the Fifth Member for Women’s WarGames
Just as we found out this past Friday on SmackDown that CM Punk will be the fifth and final member of Team Roman Reigns, last night on Raw it became known that Bayley would become the fifth and final member of Team Rhea Ripley at Survivor Series WarGames 2024. After Jade Cargill was attacked and beaten down in a pretty brutal fashion, Team Rhea was desperate to find a fifth member for their team against team Liv Morgan. Backstage, Iyo Sky suggested her Damage CTRL stablemate Kairi Sane, while Naomi suggested Bayley. Bianca Belair was uncomfortable with both suggestions considering her past beefs with Bayley and Damage CTRL. Ripley didn’t care who their fifth member was, as long as they let Rhea get her chops in at Liv Morgan. It became apparent that Bayley was the fifth member of team Rhea when she came out to help Belair in her advantage match for WarGames against Nia Jax. In helping out one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Bayley helped Bianca obtain the advantage and joined the team.
The biggest question going through everyone’s mind now that this team is officially assembled is; can they co-exist with one another? Bayley and Iyo have beef, and so do Bayley and Bianca, and we’ve seen Bianca and Iyo have beef a little more than a year ago at this point. This team looks like it is made to fall apart. Without some cohesion, these superstars will follow their own agenda while doing whatever it takes to get the job done without truly communicating and working as a team. This team has no easy opponents, as they are going up against arguably the WWE’s MVP of 2024 in Liv Morgan, who has shot up through the mid-card and has become an extreme player in the main-event scene, earning the right to be named the first-ever WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Championship. Alongside her Diseal-like sidekick in Raquel Rodriguez, WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax, 2024 Women’s Money in the Bank winner Tiffany Stratton, and the first-ever WWE Women’s Speed Champion Candice LeRae, this will be an epic matchup, but it seems like the heels know what they're doing and will have more cohesion with one another compared to the bickering baby faces.
We could see some interesting beefs play out, especially if this women’s baby face side takes the loss at Survivor Series. Another big question would be if Tiffany Stratton cashes in, since she didn’t, teasing us all again at Crown Jewel. Bayley has won this past year’s Royal Rumble and her story has taken such an intriguing twist since January. Who do you think will get the win at Survivor Series Team Rhea or Team Liv?
